Senthalir (Tender Sprouts ) was located in Mullaitivu coastal line, when tsunami hit. There were 175 war orphans stayed at Tender Sprouts at that time. Only 30 kids survived. This is where they stayed.

6 years old Sinthuja Ravikumar in Udayarkattu, where the Tender Sprouts is relocated now.

The Centre for Women's Development and Rehabilitation has accomodated
56 tsunami orphans in memory of the kids killed.

13 years old Shanthini Sivakumar, whose two younger sisters are still missing.

"I am afraid of the sea now. I lost my three best friends in tsunami. When I think of them, I feel very sad. I will not come back to the sea in the future, because it makes me sad. When I see the sea, it reminds me the past unfogettable memories of tsunami" says 9 years old Malar Jeyakumar.
